Australian Fishing Tournaments (AFT) Bream Series Events
2015 sees the largest change in AFT events in its history, with a online survey filled and the feedback from the anglers examined, AFT is running 3 series to fill the void the cover all people needs. Gamakatsu Teams Series (GTS), Gamakatsu Amateur Series (GAS) and the Gamakatsu Elite Series (GES) there is a series for the beginner who just wants to have some fun and go fishing with his mate or if you take it more serious and want to be in the running for large payouts then the Elites are for you.
The flagship event now in its 8th Year the GTS events are the largest events of its kind in Australia. This teams bream fishing event sees events from NSW and SEQLD being held over the year now with 10 qualifying for the 2015 season. These events are broken down into regions so you don’t have to travel far to qualify for the Grand Final.
A new event for 2015 sees a entry level tournament for beginners, with cheaper entry and a motor restriction of 100hp, there is no need to be intimated any more, compete against others in similar boats and with no cash on the line it will be a load of fun. Run at the same time as a GTS event, you get to experience the big event atmosphere and stage, not just some tent on the side of the river, you get the full tournament experience. Another new event for 2015 is the Elites, this is a large money payout event designed for the serious bream fisherman, this is the highest level in AFT tournaments and you will be competing against the best bream anglers in the country. This is a stand alone event with 4 qualifiers and a Grand Final on some of the best waterways on the East Coast there is sure to be some competitive fishing and big bags to come in.
